Postgraduate Research and Coursework Bursaries
A number of bursaries are available for postgraduate students studying a coursework or research based degree in 2018. Each bursary has a different value and set of eligibility criteria. Find out below which bursaries you can apply for.
Graduate Women SA Centenary Bursary
Value: $11,000: Up to $3,500 each
Eligibility:
- Women and men of any nationality;
- Must be studying for a Doctorate where the major component is research;
- Must have a good undergraduate academic record;
- Must not be in full time paid employment or on fully paid study leave during the tenure of the Bursary;
- Must have completed at least one year of postgraduate research;
- Must not have received a bursary or award in the same category in 2017.

The Diamond Jubilee Bursary
Value: $4,500: Up to $2,500 each
Eligibility:
- Women and men of any nationality,
- Must be studying for a Masters Degree by Coursework OR studying for a Doctorate where the major component is coursework,
- Must not be in full time paid employment or on fully paid study leave during the tenure of the Bursary,
- Must have a good undergraduate academic record,
- Must have completed six months full time equivalent of their postgraduate program;
- Must not have received a bursary or award in the same category in 2017.

Winifred E. Preedy Postgraduate Bursary
Value: Up to $2,000
Eligibility:
- Women who are enrolled at an Australian university,
- Must be enrolled in a Master’s Degree or a PhD in dentistry or a related field,
- Must be past or present students in the Dental School at the University of Adelaide,
- Must have completed at least one year of their postgraduate degree,
- Must not be in full-time paid employment or on fully-paid study leave during the tenure of the Bursary,
- Must not have previously won the Winifred E. Preedy Postgraduate Bursary.
